I am not sure all the detectors in the house are exactly this model. Occasionally and sometime every morning around 5-6 AM one of them will start beeping around once every minute or two. It is fustrating. This morning when resetting this one in my bedroom the entire house started going off and would not stop. I pulled it off the ceiling and removed the hardwire. No relief. I went to the circuit breaker box and turned that breaker off and no relief. I then noticed one of them was still lit in the washroom and removed that battery. At that point I also removed all the backup 9v batteries. Right now my home is not protected as all fire detectors have been disabled. I need this corrected. Is it possible the one in my bedroom is just bad?

0 We have experienced the same problem with a newly constructed townhome. The electrician has indicated no issues with other similar units recently constructed, but replaced two of the alarms - one in the great room and the second in the garage. No relief. The alarms have gone off anywhere between 11:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. We have had to actually detach the alarms from their positions. Trying to find a solution as well.
