Question About Trane Thermostat baystat240a
operation...

I am trying to learn how and when to use the manual on switch. I guess it disables normal operations and switches to standby. Is this a lot more expensive to operate. When the outside temp is below 35 degrees the heat pump struggles. Trying to weigh the differences of the pump running almost all the time to using the "emergency" option.
