I have previously had problems with condensate backup when algae blocked the PVC discharge pipe. This was easily addressed by clearing the blockage with a shop-vac at the outside end of the pipe. This time, the pipe seems clear, but the system is still accumulating excess condensate. There has been no loss of cooling to the house, though. (Region: south Florida.
