4 Hi all info for Toyotaz870 I did not find a user manual for the machine yet but hope the following will be enough Machine does variable straight stitch, variable zigzag, fancy stitch with the blue disc only has one disc, 4 step buttonholes, 3 position feed-dog. The variable stich length is controlled by the SWITCH CONTROL knob, which has a big round button in the centre (push to reverse the stitching while sewing) To make it zigzag just press the left hand side white lever under the SWITCH CONTRL knob and slide to the right. The further you slide the more zigzag you get. The right hand slide just leave on 5. Not sure what the right hand one does I think its something to do with the buttonhole or barteck maybe. The L M or R slider is to position the needle Left Middle or Right. Leave in Middle for normal use I would think The three position feed dog (the teeth under the cloth that move it) is low med or high There are pattern discs. The one in the machine is for everything and the others just for the pattern that is on it. To change the disc slide the MAIN SELECT LEVER under where it says Toyota super deluxe sewing machine to the left (symbol looks like a mountain or something anyway of the five symbols it’s the first one) To do button holes you slide the MAIN SELECT LEVER to 1/3 then do 2 then 1/3 then 4 On the top left is a push down button that increases the foot pressure the further down it is. To release it just press on the outer silver ring and it pops ups. You can press it down a little or a lot to get what you want. There is a little knob on the back which has + and – but I have to find out what its for and Ill let you know The rest you know such as bobbin winder (can disengage the clutch so the needle doesn’t move while you wind the bobbin) The flat of the needle is to the left, Thread tension adjust, foot lift lever, same as most machines If anyone has a copy of the original manual please send to me at ade3030@gmail.com and Ill pass it on to others.
