0 I have worked in the tailoring trade most of my working life, and there can be a few things go wrong with the stitch but the most common is (a slack stitch) there are two tensioners on a sewing machine, top and bottom these have to be adjusted so the finished stitch is perfectly balanced and the seam looks just like a run of cotton along the top and the same on the bottom. this is trial and error balancing the top tension (the one that goes through the needle) the adjuster is usually facing the sewer and the bottom tension, To access this slide the cover back this is to the left of the needle remove the spool holder along with the spool, The adjuster is on the side of the spool holder ----You will need a very small screwdriver the one you use to adjust specs. You will need a little time and a lot of patient to get it just right but its worth it ---------GOOD LUCK
