I have a model # swm2422 warm mist humidifier ...c...

I have a model # swm2422 warm mist humidifier ...can I use Sunbeam eucalyptus tablets in the water even though the unit does not have the cage assembly in the water fill spout? If yes how do I use the tablet correctly without ruining the unit or voiding the warranty.
