I have a PRV50 NODS 970W and the pilot light goes ...

I have a PRV50 NODS 970W and the pilot light goes out after you let go after 1 minute. The light looks ok and the thermocouple reads over 20mV. I'm wondering if maybe the auto gas shutoff tripped? If that's the case how do you know that happened and what do you do about it? Thanks - Regan.
