My old opener was working perfectly until without warning it began to travel beyond the open and close points. Unhooking the door arm and running it resulted in it overtravelling on the close command and actually jamming the chain at the door. The support tube bent and both chain and cable were under considerable tension. There is obviously something wrong with the limit switches. Can anyone advise how to adjust the static limit switches on this old Stanley opener?
