Question About Stanley Black & Decker Garage Door Opener None
Gear Case Cover...

The cover for the gear attached to the motor has broken, thus, making it loose. Hence, the chain does not operate properly. Need a manual to find out how to replace the gear case assembly.

0 Mine did this also today...the bottom half of the gear box broke away. I solved it by drilling 2 holes in top plate then running wire around the shaft, twisting wire tight pulling the gear back into position. I still need a manual though to set the adjustments. : ( If anyone know how, on Stanley 1992 model 1800.51, please write me at dbwillis@aol.com thanks
