5 To remove the filter, pop off the back of the unit and slowly pull the filter out. In order to wash it, you will need to immerse it gently into warm water with a neutral detergent. Rinse the filter and dry it thoroughly out of sunlight. Slide the filter back into the filter compartment after it is thoroughly dried.
