We just received a Singer Fashion Mate Model 237 s...

We just received a Singer Fashion Mate Model 237 sewing machine in a cabinet, but no manual was included. We are trying to figure out how to thread the machine, but the first problem is "we can't find where to put the spool of thread". There's no small pin/rod to drop the spool onto. Can you help?
