Trying to replace a lost user manual for my 50 ye...

Trying to replace a lost user manual for my 50 year old Singer sewing machine but do not have exact model details. Only clues are numbers embossed on machine a) 179555 b) 639635. No other information is shown anywhereon the machine. Having problems with setting tension. Any advice?
