Question About Singer Sewing Machine 6550
threading the machine...

I just purchased this machine and lost the manual. I downloaded some info on this, but am stil having trouble. I thread the machine, insert and bobin and machine wil not join nedle thread with bobin threat. Am I doing this wrong, or is there a magic way with this new machine?
