My needle tension dial/assembly has come off, due to getting caught on a string, while moving. It's all here, but can't figure out how to get it to go back on (and stay). What holds it in place?

5 Hi, I had this exact same problem and it was a simple fix. The problem is that the screw that is holding the tension assembly is loose. To fix this, first open up the casing on the left of the tension assembly on your singer (where the light bulb is). Right where the tension assembly slides in, there should be a sideways screw. Place the tension assembly back in the slot, making sure all the pieces are there, and then tighten the sideways screw to hold the tension assembly. That's about it! I hope it helped!

0 I already downloaded the manual, it does not address anything like this issue.
