5 Check the power cord first to make sure it's secure. Lubrication could help, oil the foot pedal and the wheel on the side, and possibly the needle moving device, make sure to wipe excess so it does not get on fabrics. Check the bobbin as well, if it can't spin properly it will slow down a machine.
