...know how to open the head on a Singer 2000 Touch Tronic Sewing Machine. It has been donated to H.A.V.E.N. Family Resource Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ for our annual fundraising sale. The needle will raise but not lower when powered and appears to be gummed up. I have cleaned and oiled my own Singer for many years and would like to try it on this machine but can't figure nout how to open the head. Any help you could give me will be much appreciated. Our budget has no funds with which to purchase a manual unfortunately. Seems we're always running on a shoestring. And the shoestring is broken.
