Question About Singer Sewing Machine meritt 8734
extra thread under the bottom side of fabric during sewing...

how do I keep the thread from bunching up under the bottom of the fabric. when I sew the thread is long and loose and gets stuck in the bobbin area. What am I doing wrong?
