Question About Singer Sewing Machine 43-7
Bobbin thread ran out. Now my needle won't move up...

Bobbin thread ran out. Now my needle won't move up and down, even if I use the hand winder. The centre screw thing is tightened as far as it will go. Mschine makes the noise when I press foot pedal but needle doesn't move.I did pull a piece of thread that was stuck and it broke. Could that be why?
