Question About Singer Sewing Machine 1030
Bobbin?...

I recently borrowed this machine from a friend that went on vacation. She told me before she left that no bobbin is needed and it will use thread from the spool. Is this true, and how do I set it to do this if so? If not what kind of bobbin do I need? I have several but none fit.
