i am having a hard time finding out about my machine. It has the words the singer manfg.co patened jan 1887 on it please help me find out more .

0 You can run the serial number on Singer's website. It's kind of tricky to find so I have included the direct link: http://www.singerco.com/admin-support/machine-serial-numbers

0 I just checked the website and it appears that Singer took down the detailed information that was on .pdf downloads and they only have dates listed now. Customer care can run the serial # and tell you what model machine you have 1-800-4-SINGER (1-800-474-6437)
