0 There are only three areas of a "portable" air-conditioner I would suggest you look at: 1. Have a look at the "Continuous Flow" tube that goes into your catch bin. Check the tube for cracks, split or wear. Make sure it isn't to close to the hot components like the motor. Only remove the panels and trace it all the way back to the pump after checking these next two items... 2. There should be a secondary tube for cleaning/drainage with a plug stopped up in the end. Check this line for wear and cracks also. 3. The catch tray may be cracked, inspect the plastic for damage. Air-conditioners wear eventually, you won't be able to run them as cold and for as long a period of time. Hoses crack, parts war (hot/cold/hot/cold expands and contracts EVERYTHING) The portable units aren't meant to really be serviced (unlike your car where you can refill the coolant/psi) Condensation/Ice builds up on the chiller unit. Tech Savvy? Pull the panels off and look at the chiller (looks like a radiator, made up of a series of thin pieces of aluminum that looks like a filter) for damage/wear. Check that all the fasteners are sealed and not leaking.
