silvercrest fan heater shelf 2000 a1 remote does not work, this is my second one and it's the same problem, have inserted battery right, is they a problem with the remote control ??

4 Hi, I purchased the Silvercrest Fan Heater 2000 A1 recently and had the same problem as you describe. I was also given a second remote control. I initially thought that it was either a faulty remote or dud battery. My final idea was to peel the protective polythene off the LED front panel where the sensor for the remote control is situated. This rectified the problem and both remotes work fine now. Regards Sarah
