i have a shop vac 12 gallon 4.5 horsepower on the lid in the back there is an opening i would like to know what goes in there

5 Here is a link to the owners manual. It has schematics on the entire vac. Your answer is in there. Im not sure which hole you are referring to so this is your best bet. Usually though, one hole is for the hose and on is the exhaust.
