Question About Shark Vacuum Cleaner None

My shark heats up within about four minutes of use. the red light comes on and it starts to smell and is very hot to the touch. I've cleaned the filter, emptied the cup, checked the ports and the tubes for blockage. This is a new Shark which had been used one time before I purchased it.
