Question About Sears Water Heater 153.339410HA
Missing Manual for Power Miser 9...

I have a Power Miser 9 gas hot water heater and cannot find my manual. I'm having probems with pressure build-up and the pilot light going out. It was installed new in 2003.

0 For a year now our pilot light would go out if we turned the heat above the first mark and in between A. Just today I finally felt brave enough to fix the heater. If you peel back the rubber sleeve for the wire at the top of the gas valve, you can just pull the wire to disconnect it. You have to order the part as a set... Pilot assembly : Part # 9003531 I didn't need to order. After cleaning the thermocouple and the other items with steel wool, and vacuuming up the inside, the heater is working great!
