I have a 139.53778. I believe I screwed up the remotes. When I press remote the door begins to close but quickly stops.. Same result from keypad.

0 jack48, Try pushing the button on the wall and holding it down. The door should close. It is probably the electric eye in the doorway. something blocking the beam or one of them knocked out of alignment until it can't see the other. That is probably the problem. It could be a bad electric eye but unlikely. They sell replacements for around $40. Good luck.
