door starts to close, then stops and goes back up. There is nothing obsructing the door at all. Need help fixing this.

0 Sounds like the motor is in the open position. You need to disconnect chain from sprocket (just let chain rest on rear of metal bar in front on sprocket), then operate motor for one cycle. Then, reconnect chain.

0 If you haven't already,"turn force down "screw head just a bit.This will give the opener a little more power to push the door down.Also the door hardware always has to be lubricated to make the travel of the opener smoother.Spray the springs,pulleys and door track. with WD-40 every month or so.The "Force Up" and "Force Down" plastic screw heads will be on the left side or the back of the opener
