Question About Sears Garage Door Opener None
Door does not open automatrically...

The motor make a humming sound but does not open the door. I took off the cover and presses the switch on the remote and again the motor makes a humming sound but the spiral gear do not turn. What may the problem be

0 Did you notice a white powdery substance when you removed the door? If so the transmission gear is excessively worn.
