I have the AM27B1C13/07 units in my home as well as the AS07A56MA. I have had problems with 2 of these units icing up on the cooling grate (evaporator?) behind the cover - when this has been checked by my HVAC service, either the ice has melted and they find no problem with refrigerant or leaks OR the units have had to be thawed and even then they have had trouble identifying the problem. Today, one technician said that our TV was placed too close to the unit (3 feet away) and that we should not run our ceiling fan simultaneously with the a/c. Does any of this make sense, has anyone else had this problem, what else can I do? HELP!
