not used my overlocker for some time so re threaded and oiled, started off okay but then half way along it misses the cross over stiching and leaves me with double row of straight stitches. Tried altering tensions but it keeps doing this, first 10cm okay then goes off. Any one got any help? RICCAR RL-924DR about 18years old but no previous problems

0 Sergers are funny critters. They require threading in a certain order for it to work. Typically the order is as follows. Upper looper, lower looper, right needle, left needle. If a thread breaks you must remove all threads and re-thread the machine from the beginning. Then once you have it threaded check that your tension isn't too tight on your upper looper. Good luck
