Compressor pulls down into a vacuum in heating or cooling mode. Unit has one TXV with cap tubes on the evaporator. Company that installed the unit claims the TXV valve was replaced, however the valve looks like factory installed valve. The company has charged the owner $1374 in parts and labor on a unit that is still under warranty and the unit still does not operate properly. How do I obtain factory support without being a Rheem dealer? How do I obtain the TXV without charging the owner for a part under warranty? This is a PR nightmare waiting to happen for Rheem products due to a negligent contractor.
