My Home Warranty company is saying my Rheem unit was installed too close to the side of my house and they won't repair the condenser and say evap coil is leaking upstairs. Unit is 7" from wall outside on slab. Unit appears to be from May of 1999. I have house for only 7 years. They replaced the other AC outside unit 2 yrs ago. Service person has that one 7-3/4" from the other wall. Does that sound right- Too close to house? Oh, overhang is about gable of at least 15' above unit.
