The needle on my pfaff 2134 hits the bobbin case. ...

The needle on my pfaff 2134 hits the bobbin case. I took it to be repaired (i live overseas) and they can't seem to find a tool to open the bobbin case to figure out the problem. Is there a special tool for this or should I run and pick up my machine?
