Question About Pfaff Sewing Machine 1540
machine noise...

machine runs smooth and silent when not threaded, has a clunking noise when threaded. There isa metal thread separator (?) in the slot adjacent to the slot where the takeup goes up and down, this plate is loose....is that normal?
