5 The key to winding your bobbin evenly is to keep your speed the same throughout the winding process. Go slow and steady, keeping the pressure on the foot pedal as even as possible, but don't go so slowly that the thread on the bobbin is loose. You want it nice and taut the whole time. This can be tricky if your pedal is too sensitive or hard to push, but you'll get a feel for it over time. Also, when you load the empty bobbin on to wind, pull several inches of the thread through the hole and grasp it tightly to keep it tight on that end, and hold on the whole time if you can.
