Question About GE Water System GXRM10RBL
Just finished (?) installing this product. I have...

Just finished (?) installing this product. I have a "reverse osmosis membrane" sealed in plastic. Is this part of the original installation or is it an extra? The directions/manual are silent on this. Haven't turned the water on yet so am stumped at this point. HELP
