the top cover to my water heater where the pipes and vent hooked to is rusted where would i get the part at. I can't hook my vent to the wAter heater cause the top cover is rusted and has holes in it3

0 The cover of your water heater being rusted is a sign of severe exhaust gas spillage. That means the corrosive exhaust gases are coming back through the draft diverter (the hat-looking thing) and into your home. These exhaust gases can cause CO to pour into your home. You should have a qualified person test to find out why this is happening. It could be a collapsed chimney or other appliances competing for the air the water heater needs to draft. Good luck and PLEASE get that looked at by a professional.
