Question About Water Heater 6G40-36F1
pilot wont light...

Hot water tank sits on floor ,only 2" of water got on floor from bad sump around hot water heater, pilot light went out , won't re-light Why ?

-1 The pilot stays on but the burner will only stay on for 5 min and then shut off, the water pipe does get warm but then cools since the burner doesn't turn back on. What could be a common issue? Thanks
