I have just used the hose attachment and now want to vacuum carpet. Beater bar is not working. What do I need to do?

5 U have to make sure the belt is unlocked when u put the floor attachment back on. Then when u get it secured turn the belt on the front of the floor attachment from belt off to belt on...it will turn about 180degrees and match up to the belt on position. Make sure u put it in drive before u turn it on. Should start spinning.! Good luck!
