I bought a singer 503a at an auction and there is no foot pedal and now power when I plug it in. How do i turn it on????

0 The foot pedal is up inside the cabinet next to the knee lever. The knee lever swings down and is next to your right knee. The foot pedal can be detached from the knee lever and be actuated with your foot (like normal) or you can press sideways with your knee to actuate the motor.
