Question About Indoor Fireplace Fireplace Insert
Manual...

We moved into a house that had a Cemi Concept ll Wood burning insert. I had to replace the mica on the doors. Now it's all ready to go, and I have no clue how it works! Is there a manual still around for this particular insert? Thanks, Tami Beale

5 Where can you get the mica inserts? I don't have any maunal, The top centered allen screw is the damper. Move to the far left and it is fully opened. The two flaps on the side next to the doors are the airflow damper. Keep them open to provide air to the fire. Sometimes when it is difficult to start a fire, I open the doors for more air using the Allen key and prop open the doors against the key and the flanges on the door handle. This allows the doors to be open for enough air and keeps the doors to sheild from flying sparkes, once the fire is going I close the doors. After the fire is going you can close the damper (to the right) it does not fully close it, and allows for more heat retention. Please help me find out where you got the micas sheets. The company in Ashland was shut down by the EPA during the hey day of the EPA era.

4 I own a fireplace store in Louisville KY called Grate Balls Afire. We can sell you the mica replacement for both door @ $50.04 per door, or you can get the ceramic glass retrofit (which is what most customers prefer for $68.41 per door.

3 You can find the MICA inserts in stock at Lehman's! You will find them online.

0 Have replaced mine several times. Got a better than mica replacement at 2 different fireplace stores near Milwaukee. Most any similar store should have this type product.
