Question About Gas Heater rmc55-r7
heater will not stay lite...

my friend gave me the rmc55-r7 kerosene heater and i have tried to light it offa couple of times but it will not stay lite. I am not sure how long it sat before she gave it to me but i let it sit for over an hour after filling the tank to soak the wick what do i need to do now?
