My neighbor has the same code as my garage opener and I want to change my own. How can I do this?

0 there is a bank of small switches inside the remote control and a matching set inside the metal box of the lift motor controls. The switch arrangements have to match. It uses a binary octal code... but you don't have to know what that means. Just set the switches in the same randomly chosen pattern for both units. If you chose a different arrangement from your neighbor you're done.
