The boiler is situated in a cupboard outside with, I believe, its flue currently affected by the gales which are blowing directly into the flue. It appears that the reason that the boiler will not ignite is because the strong wind blows down the flue and snuffs out the burner. I have the same model burner inside the house (picture 1 of flue on flat roof with protective wall above it) with the flue in a more sheltered position and it works well in this gale condition.
