I am having problems finding the correct size air ...

I am having problems finding the correct size air filter for my Nordyne furnace model # KG7TC0600-24B. The 4" filter is too thick for the opening. I have checked several stores for a slightly smaller filter but can only find 1". Is there a larger size available?
