0 I know this is a old post, so this is for the benefit of others searching - Sounds like you need a new fan. The fan hub is crimped together and they often come loose causing those exact symptoms. Easy to check. TURN THE POWER OFF. Remove the top grill. Flip the fan over and see if the hub is loose - if you can spin the blades while holding the motor shaft this is your problem.
