My vacuum keeps shutting down after only a short b...

My vacuum keeps shutting down after only a short bit of use. It has done this in the past when it overheated, but I can't imagine it is over heating in a minute. I already placed a new bag in it and checked to make sure that nothing was stuck in it. What else can I do to get it to work correctly??
