i have been sent a tension spring for my miele vac...

i have been sent a tension spring for my miele vacuum cleaher which is supposed to tension the clip that holds the bags in. I am unable to work out how it fits or where it goes. Part No 6 434 090 is written on the bag. Could you please help me.
