Hello. Is it OK to turn the thermostat "off" for a few weeks when not in use? My parents live in Monterey, CA and don't use their heater in the summer time. They don;t have the fancy programmable Lux; theirs only has the heat, cool and the off switch in addition to the fan auto on on switch and the thermostat reading.
