base plate covering rotating floor brush and bearing carriers to brush ends...

bearing on belt end of floor brush has become overheated and melted up into the bearing carrier. The base plate covering the floor brush has also broken. Good machine, t'would pull the floor boards through the carpet, but why do the manufacturers put garbage plastic in a place where there is great strain, e.g the up stress on the belt end
